Project Mission Statement

The American Women’s Club of Seville oral history project is being conducted by volunteers from members of the Club. It aims to cover the history of the Club from its beginning in 1956 to the present day. In particular, it will look at members’ experiences of life in the Club, including participation in club activities such as social/cultural events and charitable activities. Individuals will be asked to reflect on wider experiences of life in Seville as an expat.

Interview materials will become part of the AWC archival collection. The project will follow the standards of the Oral History Association.
